After looking through the paper, mom decided that she would like to check out the Franklin Park Zoo, a small zoo in the heart of Boston.  While I didn't get any pictures of mom, I did get some of all of the animals.

The first guys we came across, the zebras!
Next, the ostriches!
I can't remember who these guys were.  They were hanging out in the same area as he zebras and ostriches.
And what zoo would be complete without a lion?
A family of camels.  The male was being kept in a separate pen with another female.  I'm guessing they were trying to get them to mate.
A couple of giraffes hiding in the trees.
One of the peacocks wandering around the grounds.
One of the male gorillas that was being kept outside (the rest were kept inside a building).
The female, who was inside with the baby.  Looking like she really would rather be somewhere else.  Can't say that I blame her.
Mother and baby.  I think the baby was 7(?) months old.
Baby rolling around in front of mom, while another looks on.
Baby, hanging out by himself.
The whole reason for going to the zoo was to see a butterfly exhibit, where you get to walk through an area filled with thousands of butterflies.  The rest of the pictures are from that area.  The camera I bought has a "macro" mode, to allow you to take close up photography, so I was playing around with that a bit:
Butterfly number 1.
Butterfly number 2.
And number 3.
A pair of butterflies, doing what butterflies do in the springtime.
And another.
And finally, where do butterflies come from?
