On 02/17/2002, Christine dragged Reto and I up to Stintson Lake in NH to do a little ice racing with the local Boston BMWCCA club. Getting up at 5:30am on a Sunday to drive 2 hours to hang out on a frozen lake didn't sound like very much fun to me, but once I got out there, I had a blast! I *think* I won my class, but won't know for sure until the results are posted! Christine and I also took this opportunity to drive each others cars out on the ice. So Christine got a chance to drive the 200 20v with all season tires, and I got to drive her 318ti with snow tires. The Audi got going better, but the snows on the 318 definitly stopped better. Unfortunately, I forgot to charge the batteries in the camera, so it died early on, so we did not get nearly as many photographs as I hopped for, oh well. I'll definitly do this again! |
