Day 21

Local Ride, BBQ

So woke up this morning in the cabana, which has a great view from the hot tub! Adam went off to work and left Charlie, the killer guard dog, Bruce and Dane, and myself to hang out and wait for Roger to come over. We amused ourselves by doing some maintenance on the bikes, and laughing at what Adam had set the TiVo to record (Blind Date Adam?!?!?). Roger showed up then it was off to Forward Air to meet up with Todne and Kim who were being reunited with their bikes. Let me just tell you this, Roger is not a man who should be leading a group. Whoa, that boy drives fast!

Anyway, we made it to Forward Air to find Kim and Todne just finishing up packing their gear. They were very happy to be back with their bikes. The boys were also is a jovial mood, except for Dane. He never smiles. I don't think he is physically able. Then it was back to Roger and Jens new house for a little lunch, when who should show up? Colby! After a little food we said goodbye to Jen, seen here with Roger and that nasty Dane, and went for a nice little 100 mile loop of Rogers favorite roads. We ended up at the top of Mount Diablo, which had some spectacular views. Pictures of places are boring, so here is Todne, Bruce and Kim, Kim and Todne, the whole group with out me (Todne, Roger, Dane, Bruce, Colby, Kim), the whole group with me and no Bruce, looking down at the bikes, Bruce, and Todne, Roger, and Kim at the top of the observation deck.

After a great ride it was back to the house for a few drinks and some BBQ. Here are the boys on the deck, and here is a view of San Francisco from the deck, and here is the hostess, hard at work at the grill while the slackers drink.

Adam and Charlie joined us for dinner, then it was a little X-Box playing and planning for the weekend. The Plan so far: Meet up with Adam and Bruce in the morning, make our way to Monterey, secure the hotel room, Todne will head to the track, Kim will head to where she is staying, and we will basically hang out in Monterey. Saturday and Sunday are the races all day, and parties at night! There won;t likely be an update here for a few days, at least. :)
